Excuse me Chris but I would like to speak to you for a moment. Iwas just wondering how long it takes for an application to be filed. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but I've been waiting to get a reply on if I am accepted into the Jedi Academy or not and waiting to get my room key for hours now. I'm wondering if maybe you could put it through for me.

Cassus could barely contain his excitement, everything he needed to put the lightsaber together was laying on his bed. He'd already organised it, the only thing left to do was put it together. However, he'd need to get control over his feelings. Pacing the room back and forth didn't seem to be working. He took a few deep breaths and sat down on the ground, closing his eyes. Just keep breathing, deeeeeeep breaths, he thought to himself. In through the nose, and out through the mouth. He did this until he felt himself completely calmed, so calm in fact, that: "Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz."
He had the strangest dream, he was sitting in the air, a few feet above the floor in his room, and everything around him was floating. His bed had completely dissapeared, and in it's spot was a white light, lighting the room. But it was so bright, so pure, he couldn't bear to look straight at it. "Cassus," it said to him, with the voice of a female, then, he opened his eyes.
He was still sitting in the same position, his bed in front of him. He looked around, still snapping out of the dream. Nothing was floating anymore, and neither was he. Or had they ever been floating in the first place. He stood up, and looked on his bed, a large smile lit his face. His lightsaber lay constructed on his bed, just like he'd imagined it.
He took it in his hands and studied it, fascinated by his own creation. Holding it out in front of him, he almost shyly pressed the activation button. The yellow beam shot out, adding new light to the room. With a smile of satisfaction, he let go of the button and ran out of his room.
He sensed Master Crane was in the reception hall, so he made his way there, now familiar with the Academy's halls. He burst in, a large smile on his face. "Master Crane, I did it!" He held out the lightsaber in front of him for him to take.

(OMG I am so sorry I didn't read this all the way through.)
Chris turned to face the excited boy. Once more he smiled and nodded his head in approval. With his right hand he slipped into his robes and pulled out the old lightsaber Cassus had forged. He held it up.
[glow=teal,2,300]"Now you begin to understand. This here is a Jedi Knight who relies on his feelings and his own intuition. It is as useless as its lifeless shell."[/glow]
Then Chris took the new blade and activated it. Its noble blade pulsed to life and glowed with a fire of a burning sun.
[glow=teal,2,300]"And this is the Jedi you will become. A Jedi who is fully in tune with the Force and relies on its sure and steady guidance. You have made me proud.
"Now, I want you to take this tool and head tot he training halls. Get in a few hours of practice and soon I will bring the others to the hall and we will begin Lightsaber combat.
"May the Force be with You."[/glow]
Chris handed him both hilts after deactivating the complete blade. He nodded and bowed at the boy's completed task and turned to gather the remaining padawans.

"Thank you master, I will remember this lesson." He turned and headed back through the hallways, holding both of the lightsabers, but before he went to the training halls, he stopped in his room. He fumbled around the room, before finding a place to hang the useless lightsaber as a reminder of what Master Crane had told him. Then he took his lightsaber and hooked it onto his belt, and left his room.
He made his way to a lightsaber training room and looked around, taking a deep breath. He walked to the wall and pressed a few buttons on the control pad. A small pannel in the wall opened and a small probe droid flew out. He watched it fly around, it seemed to twitch from one spot to the next rather then fluently hovering from one spot to the next. He his lightsaber off his belt and activated it, gripping it with two hands.
The droid immediatly reacted, turning it's attention to him. It flew around him for a bit, then finally it began shooting small lasers at him. He'd been focusing extremely hard on it, and was waiting for the moment it would fire. He reacted, moving the lightsaber to block the laser, but missed, and the laser stung his arm.
Don't think about it, he thought to himself. He loosened his grip and closed his eyes, feeling the droid with the force. It jumped to his right and fired, but he'd already adjusted his arms to block it. It jerked behind him and fired a shot at his back, but his lightsaber was already there, his arms behind his head, pointing the lightsaber at the ground.
As he kept on training, he began adjusting his style, blocking it's lasers with more ease, using the force to know where the laser would come from. After a while, he began trying to fire the laser back at the droid. He tried unsuccesfully over and over again, but finally, with the right amount of consentration, he deflected one back and hit it right in the eye. He opened his eyes, a smile on his face, lowering his lightsaber as he focused on the moment, only to be stung by a shot from another shot.
He eventually sent the droid back to it's resting spot with the panel, and activated a humanoid droid with a lightsaber. A door across the hall opened and the silver droid stepped in, lightsaber already on. He walked to the middle of the room and whilred his lightsaber around in a figure 8 formation with one hand, then went into a defensive position. The droid moved foreward, then suddenly lunged at him.
He deflected the attack only barely. He realised then that you could never be too confident, no matter the opponent. Now focused, he began training against the droid.

Holt Syren Stood outside of the Academy, pausing to rest. He had walked from where the water freighter had landed a great distance away with only a pack of essentials sung over his back. He had not enjoyed his journey through the lush new world. He found it unsettlingly different from his frozen home of Nelvaan. It was too hot, too humid, too loud, and had too much life on it. He could barely focus enough to find his way to the Academy.
But his body's fatigue and his exhaustion were not responsible for his resting. For the past few days, Holt had not had a moment's peace with which to clear his mind. He had been a simple Nevaanian boy, hoping to gain honor as a warrior in his tribe, and then one day he was told that he must give up his entire ife and go to the nearby world of Ossus to speak with a Jedi about his... he didn't even know what to call it. He would have called it a problem, had he not had it all his life. He would have called it a disability, if it had not helped him on rare occaisions. He would have called it normal, had any other being he had ever met had it. He had no name for it. The shaman had called it "The Force" and that the Jedi were those who had mastered it. He told Holt that they could help him to master it, too.
But Holt didn't want that. This "Force" had done far more bad for him then good. It had amost killed him on twelve different occasions, which was the only reason he had accepted the shaman's suggestion and came here. Holt intended upon asking the Jedi to help him keep "The Force" from causing him any more harm. And if they hadn't mastered it enough to do that, then he would have to ask if they could help to rid himself of it.
These were the thoughts that had run sporadically through his mind during his walk and now became clear. He paused as a new thought came to him: [glow=white,2,300] Should I?[/glow]
He thought back to the few times this Force had aided him. It had been incredible. He was able to do things no normal Nelvaanian could ever do. He had channeled it to strike at an enemy once, which had earned him his name, "Ghost Blade". But he had never controlled it. He wondered if the Jedi could show him how to control it, how he could use it whenever he wanted. It would certainly come in handy on hunts back on Nelvaan. But "The Force" had caused too much damage. And he had a duty to his people. No matter how much he wanted to keep this part of himself and actually use it, he had no choice. His tribe needed him. He couldn't stay here and be taught by these Jedi all over again.
Holt shook his head and proceeded up the steps and inside the academy. Perhaps the Jedi knew the answer to his problem...

Sabre walked in, head held high but not in an overly proud way. She had put her robes back on, covering her Naboo-like wear. Emerald eyes squinted at the bright light but adjusted quickly. She was a Jedi after all. She rolled her head, listening to the cricks and cracks. Both lightsabers were in hand, a first timer. She had learned a bit in a padded room with a Jedi Master named Talau Firians who, like her, was destined for two lightsabers. She tossed her head hair and spung on her heel with admirably speed and gracefulness, waiting for her friend the Jedi Master to come in.

Talau swept into the room gracefully, seeming slightly distressed, but she hid it swiftly...both outwardly and inwardly. Life would go on. It HAD to go on.
[glow=9999ff,2,300]Good, Sabre, I'm glad to see you're here....please, there is no need to have your sabres out yet....the others have not yet arrived. Take this time to sit and calm your thoughts, and think over what you have learned so far.
A good jedi takes lessons, and doesn't learn them just once, but constantly refreashes their memories on the lessons they have learned.[/glow]
She said gently, striding over, and kneeling down on the floor, closing her eyes, but constantly keeping her awareness on Sabre.

She smiled briefly and went back to the meditations she was doing before so gracefully intterupted by Talau. Legs crossed and hands out by her sides in a swift, pirecing motioned she gently hummed a tune she had heard on Coruscant a day when the Jedi's in the Temple let her free for a few hours. A parade was going on, why Sabre didn't know, but she joined in the festivities none the less. It was magnificent. But it went by so fast it seemed to glide over. When she arived back to the temple she stayed up all night playing the same melody in her head, the one she was humming now. It was sorrowful but graceful, gliding over you but it stuck with you. Sabre let her mind wander, touching Talau's complex and deep mind. She didn't dare prod more then a slight brush. She touched one of an animal outside, knowing that it was looking only for food. Those were all her child mind could reach without losing herself.

- Va'al had taken the time to look about the reception hall before wandering to his quarters in the accademy. A while later Va'al would step out in dark brown robes, inherited by his old master Bal'as. With his short training saber in his hands he started off twoards the training room. He would step in on Saber and Talau, seeing that they were both in deep meditation he turned to leave.... -

A door on the side of the room branching off to a different training section slid open, and Cassus stepped through, covered in sweat, lightsaber in hand. "So this is where everyone is," he said with a smile. He rubbed his hand on the right side of his head through his wavy hair for a moment, then with a look at all three present asked, "Are you the other Padawans master Chris talked about? No one's showed up to train with me yet, I didn't know you'd be in here meditating." He grinned humourously as he wiped some sweat off his brow.

Without opening her eyes Talau spoke to Ta'al before he left.
[glow=9999ff,2,300]You needn't leave littling...we are here to train, and simply waiting on Master Chris.[/glow]
With that she opened her eyes and looked at Cassus, standing easily, she nodded slightly to him.
[glow=9999ff,2,300]Yes, this is where the training is to take place young...Cassus...correct?.....I am Talau Firians, and I will be helping Master Chris to train all of you.
Both of you, please have a seat over here and collect yourselves for a moment, while I try to contact Chris.[/glow]
She said kindly, smiling at the other two before turning and stepping away from them for a moment before pulling out her communicator.
[glow=9999ff,2,300]Master....The padawans are gathering swiftly, and we are waiting on you to begin.[/glow]
She stated into the communicator, before ending the transmission, then walking back to the padawans.
[glow=9999ff,2,300]We shall wait a few more minutes for him. If he does not arrive in that time I will start your training.[/glow]
She said to them, before kneeling down quietly once more, and closing her eyes, her mind searching the buildings for Chris' presence, or any sign that he was on his way.

He nodded to Talau, "Yes, I'm Cassus... Coteaz. It's a pleasure to meet you." He walked a little ways away from them and sat down, mumbling, "I guess you're not a Padawan then," more to himself then anyone else. He took a few deep breaths, feeling the room around him not through senses, but through the force. He felt the breathing of others, the air in the room, the cold sweat on his body, the feelings on a very minor level of those present. He calmed his mind and emptied it of all thought as he began to meditate, resting his body and preparing it for more at the same time.

Sabre felt the mind enter her domain. She was deaf to the conversation, brushing the Force like a butterfly. "Greetings fellow Padawan" She whispered, not even hearing herself. She was the Force. She was everything around her. She was Master Talau, Padawan Cassus and the Jedi coming down the hall. She was everything. The walls, the dirt, the dew on the ground outside. She gently, ever so gently, moved out of the Force, waving goodbye like a person would to do an old friend. Such an accomplishment for a nine-year old girl. Ambition to touch the Force, determination that she would not fail, Serenity to mask her rough, blunt emotions and Knowledge, every so quaint, but still Knowledge of the Force. As she recovered from her visit she saw the woman Rilian and the human[?] form of Cassus, the other Padawan. She hadn't heard the conversation; the Force told her what she needed to know. "I feel... different Talau." She told her friend, uncrossing her legs to stretch them out.

- Va'al would glance up as he was spoken to, making an about face to the jedi master before nodding. He had yet to speak to any of his other class mates yet, frankly they both intimidated Va'al. He could feel the little one flitting about in the force, shaking her presence off only to look over at cassus. No doubt that one would take the path of a Jedi Guardian. Va'al desperately wanted to find his place among his classmates, yet he knew not how. All of this turned into frustration as he continued to think, and frustration turned to anger. He clutched his training saber until his scaly palm tingled. Soon he would calm himself, thinking of the force and all that it had done for him. -
Shall we begin training Master Talau?

Tal stood up and nodded to Sabre.
[glow=9999ff,2,300]Good, you are beginning to grow.[/glow]
She replied to the girl with a simple smile, then feeling Va'al's frustration and anger, she turned to him, still smiling.
[glow=9999ff,2,300]Yes....we should start, you are correct young one....you are Va'al are you not?[/glow]
She said, with a light tone, happy to see another youngling ready to learn.
[glow=9999ff,2,300]Now, some simple questions before we begin so that I am more able to help you learn, and guide you to your place among your fellow padawans, and jedi....[/glow]
She said, not looking at any one of them in particular, but speaking more to Va'al than the others....she did not want to single anyone out, especially not Va'al when he was feeling so lost among his peers.
[glow=9999ff,2,300]Firstly, we should get to know a bit more about each other...the jedi are a family, and being such, we must know and trust each other.
Secondly I would like to know if any of you have handled a saber, or sword, of any kind before today.[/glow]
((chris said he should be here by the end of the day, so i'm giving him a bit more time with these questions))

Holt followed Master Firians into the training room. He noticed others. Not a single one alike. He could only assume these to be young Jedi he would be studying here with. He immediately felt distant from them. They were not like him. They had no focus, no purpose. That is what they had come here to find. Holt, however, knew himself inwards and outwards. His purpose was clear, his goals focused. He was more ready than any of the others in this room. He was, in all actuality, not being arrogant or cocky. He simply saw the others as what they were, untrained and unfocused. It was this blunt clarity that had saved his life on many an occasion, and he was not going to ignore it now.
The young Nelvaanian boy sat down and listened to Master Firians speak. She spoke of family and loyalty, traits that Holt knew all too well were required in a group of warriors. She then spoke of weapons. Holt had never handled a lightsaber before, having not seen one until today. But swords he knew. Swords, not vibroblades or other electronic mockeries, but true swords. Holt immediately stood to signify himself as one of the group she was calling for. The nelvaanian equivalent of raising one's hand.
