The time had come, Talau could feel it in her very bones, and it made her jittery....more than she was already, as she could now barely sit still for a moment's time.
Much of the trap had been set around the remains of the western temple, and in the fields. They had spent long days digging the small covers in which some of the feanturi would hide until the majority of the Morequi passed them, cutting off their retreat....
The Littlings, and Retawans, along with some of the older knights were ready to leave at a moments notice...and the mole had not yet returned....
Thank the Winds... she thought, as she realised the blessing when she saw it. The mole retuning too soon would be disasterous....

A kilometer away, Holt crouched on a tree branch in complete solitude. His job was simple. Let them know when the Mole and the Morquei were coming. Holt had a feeling they would be arriving soon after one another if the Masters were right. He absently tied one of his spearheads onto a branch he had torn off of the tree and carved with his lightsaber. The Morquei knew that there were Jedi amongst them, but they didn't know how many. And they didn't know Holt was with the Jedi. He had built himself about fifteen spears since climbing the tree. He had no intention of using his lightsaber until he was with the other Jedi, and until then, he would be more than able to slow the Morquei down...

Latus surveyed the battlefield from his post atop the ruins of the temple surrounded by the rubble that made for such excelent cover. He had acquired an old slugthrower from members of the defense forces and had modified it to fire quieter. Even though he was used to his pistols, which were at his side, he always loved the thought of an inch of hot metal passing through the body of an enemy soldier. Silbernes, his lightsabre was also strapped to his belt, ready to be drawn if face-to-face combat couldn't be avoided.
Slowly he went over his surroundings, his escape system that let straight down to the battlefield, his stack of ammunition, and his datapad set-up linked with the scanners on the Broadsword that had been set to pick up movement ensuring a more accute shot. He smiled as he surveyed the field once more, if he didnt know exactly their positions, Latus would have almost believed that the feanturi warriors were non-existent. Talau had warned him of the possibility of bombing runs and he would have to keep that in mind, but the situation she had described as the most likely scenario involved only close quarters. He was ready at last...
((Im assuming that the remains of the temple are high enough to be used as a sniping position))

Jenno sat, in the middle of the ruins of the great temple. His legs were crossed and his eyes closed. He was meditating, h had come around to doing so very often recently. He had found that it had dramatically increased his force abilities. His sabers floated infront of him. Green Dragon and Blue Phoenix glided past each other in harmony. They looked peaceful, no one would have thought that they were incredibly powerful weapons. The two paired together, slowly floating in a sphere.
Jenno delved deep. Into the force, but now it was much darker. The very essence of the force itself was tainted. He felt their approach, the Morquei. They were heading straight for the ruins, they knew where to attack, and they were using all of their resources to crush the Feanturi in one battle. But they would see the prowess of an army backed into a corner. The morale of the camp was uncertain. But Jenno knew that no one here was aware of his knewly found... gift. He had been studying, and he knew that he would have to put it into practice here. But, he would keep it hidden until he had to use it. That way, the Morquei would not stand a chance.
Jenno had spoken to no-one since he arrived not too long ago. His only comunication had been with Tal and Lat earlier, but that was all. He had been meditating. Waiting their arrival. Slowly, his eyelids batered open and he stood up tall. Green Dragon and Blue Phoenix halted in their movements and soared into his hands. He walked, his steps were slow, he was in no rush to reach his destination.
But eventually he did and stopped in the entrance to the ruins where he looked around. Where he saw nothing, the Feanturi were in their ambush parties.
He stood there, on his own. Green Dragon in his right hand, Blue Phoenix in his left. They were yet to be ignited, but their time was to come soon. All there was to do was wait. And that's what Jenno did. He stood, directly in the path they would take, he wanted to be the first to truly welcome them...

((I'm gonna be stepping in for the moment as one of the Morheru....the Morequi Lords....then after that...we'll see what happens.....i'm not quite certain yet. ^_^ ...."meh, whatever, just wing it..." ))
Morheru Tilias stood on a ridge high above the battle field...well...high enough... It was really one of the smaller of the mountians that he watched from...a plain, rocky thing, with no trees or plants of any kind to speak of...but that was for the better....he got an odd feeling from this bunch of Feanturi...something....different....something not quite Rilan....
He shook his head, and continued to surveigh the situation. There was only a small number of them standing to face against his hundreds...they would be crushed easily, and he would finally take his place as the leader of the planet once and for all, leaving his cousins grovelling in the dirt at his feet, begging for mercy....
Glancing over his shoulder, he checked that his ground forces were prepared....100 mounted on rosh, 100 on foot, 30 on speeder bikes, and 70 ready to take to the air....three hundreds in total against perhaps....He looked back at the small force waiting to fight....perhaps 100? 150 counting the ones he couldn't see?.....yes, they would be crushed indeed.
His cousin Draga had spoken against the idea of an outright attack, saying something about it being folly to back an injured beast into a corner, but what sence did that make? This 'injured beast' was on it's last leg, and would die at his hand....especially that little upstart who had gotten the planet in a riot....this Firians creature would just have to die....he would see to that himself.

On the heels of his guide, Kete, Chis finally made his way to the Fenturi outpost in the mits the Western Temple. There he felt a deep and long connection with the Force. It was not the same as the power he felt from the Jedi Council or Temple but it was old, and strong.
That was for certain, there was great power here. He slipped through the crowd trying to make his way to the point where he felt the presence of Talau. Silently he surveyed the scene. He had operated in the field long enough to know that he did not need to see his enemy in order to know where they move and in what force they come.
He was able to sense nearly 400 presences in the Force. No doubt, based on the levels he was feeling, nearly 100 of them were the Morquri's mounts. Numbers mattered not, what mattered was experience and timing. Fortunately the Fenturi held both.
He sighed upon reaching Talau and bowed to his fellow Master.
[glow=blue,2,300]"Master Firians. It would appear as if we have succeed in drawing out the scorpion. Everything seems to be going to plan. I assume Holt is in position.
"Talau, if it is in your warriors custom, I would suggest that we form Ranks and move into defense positions.[/glow]
time was growing ever shorter. They must have absolutely everything in order for them to be able to pull this off.

She looked over at him, her eyes holding a cool and calm sort of calculation that could make the blood run cold if one let it.
[glow=9999ff,2,300]It is, and we have 100 out in the field. The other 55 of us are hidden here and in the holds in the field ready to strike when it is time. Holt is in place, as is Latus, Jenno and...hopefully Sana...[/glow]
She replied, glancing to where Sana was supposed to be hidden.
[glow=9999ff,2,300]I am off to the ranks. I prefer to lead from the front than behind.[/glow]

Holt's ears perked up. They were here. Their enemies were here and yet they were not coming closer. Not yet, anyway. They were preparing for the fight, something they did not need to do. But the Jedi and the Feanturi, they needed time to prepare. The young Nelvaan leapt from his hiding place to one of twenty identical such places in the nearby trees. These trees lined the path to the temple. The only path to the temple. Holt looked out towards where he knew the temple was. He saw nothing. From this dip in the land, one could not see past the trees while on the ground. They would be walking blindly through the woods once they got here. Perfect. Holt tightened one of his ropes and looked back down the path behind him. Everything was in place. Holt just hoped the aerial forces were ready to bombard his location from above.

((the only aerial forces are the morequi ones....>_> ...... is that what you ment?))
Morheru Tilias growled slightly as he watched the insolent fools stand there as if they could hold off his numbers! HA! FOOLS!...and at the end of the day, they would be dead fools. With a nod of his head, two deep horns blew behind him, signaling the begining of the end for these rebels. He chuckled darkly as he heard the horns sound.
"The horns of death"...that's what these feanturi rebels had started calling them....the smart ones anyway...it always signaled a large force of morequi, ready and willing to end their pathetic lives....now was no different. Slowly, the mass of his army started forward into the plains.
Talau had walked up to the few lines of feanturi that stood in the open. As she looked at them, they looked just as determined as she felt. Keta and the other Illornes stood there quietly, not far from her, and looked grim...though she thought she could see a spark of hope in their eyes.....then the horns came.
They echoed across the plains and against the trees, shaking the ground slightly with their deep voices accompanied by the dark thrum of a drum.
The Morequi were on the move.
The younger feanturi around her shifted uneasily, but she stood calmly, feeling their sidelong glances at her, to see how they should react.
She must not show weakness.
There is no emotion; there is peace.
*thrum*
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
*thrum*
There is no passion; there is serenity.
*thrum*
There is no death; there is the Force.
*thrum*
Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.
She could see the first ranks of the Morequi now....
Jedi use their powers to defend and protect, never to attack others.
Some of the youngest feanturi took a step back.
Jedi respect all life, in any form.
[glow=9999ff,2,300]Hold your ground...[/glow]
Jedi serve others rather than ruling over them, for the good of the galaxy.
Atop his lookout, Tilias laughed.
Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training.
...the horns blew again, sending a shudder through the force...

[glow=blue,2,300]"Then to the Front it is."[/glow]
After that he would speak no more. This was an urgent matter, time could not be waisted on words. He knew the soldiers needed affirmation but from this point he would deliver orders and be a rock. Talau had built a resistance and the Jedi were here to enforce it.
He followed Talau to the front rank but he did not react to the horn. He felt it before it came. It felt as if it were seeped with the dark omens of the Force. But his crystal blue gaze fended off all fear and doubt. He slipped out of his Jedi Robes and tossed it against a tree. Hopefully it would be waiting for him when this was over.
Chris moved to stand behind Talau, he could feel something in her soul, something menacing. Then he reached to his belt and pulled the hilt of his saber, still cool from inactivity. This was all about to change.
He glanced to the masters beside him in a show for them to do the same. They were about to enter a war for their very lives and he knew this was where he belonged. Right between these people and the Morquri lords.

It was all Talau could do not to growl in return at the sound of the horns. She stood defensively infront of her people, the air practically tingling with the force around her, and nearly shimering with her emotions.
Hell would come before she allowed these dark people destroy the brave souls around her.
Tilias' smirk slowly faded from his face as he felt something very odd slip through the fea. In an instant he was checking the auras around those he could see standing out before his army, two of them nearly blinding him.

The Wait. This is the hardest part of the battle. Yes, fighting was life threatening, but the wiat... it was numbing. The feeling of your sweating palms and that no matter how many times you wipe them on your tunic, they would always be moist. The rumble in your gut and the enemies match fills the air.
It was maddening. Chris counted it among his blessings that he had long since learned to quiet the pounding of his emotions. Now he simply waited. He tried not to but he could not help wondering for the safety of Sana and Latus, Jenno and Talau. Not to mention his two Padawan learners who were getting a first hand taste of war.
Anticipation was in the air and he delved into the Force ripping into its power. His eyes shut and slipped into the back of his head. His sole erupted with the spirit of the Force. He found it easy to summon unreasonable power. In this land the Force was strong and powerful... and angry. This was a formal retaliation of the Light Side and Chris would be its beacon. He wanted the Morquir to see him. He wanted to be found.
It would be his personal testimony to do battle with these creations of hatred. He would show them his sole before they tried to take his life. If they could stand before the might of a Jedi in unison with the Force then they may come.
His hands tightened around his hilt and he fingered around the edges of the activation panel. At the First sign of the attack Chris would be ready. Now all they had to do was get themselves to the tip of his blade.

The Morequi were approaching. A file of them were charging through the woods down the wide rosh path. Faster than the trees. The easy way to the temple. A Jedi wouldn't have taken the easy way. And that's why, if jedi had been attacking, Holt's plan would have never worked.
Holt had spent the past many hours preparing one of the Hunter's most useful tools. The Trap. Holt had spent a good amount of time with his lightsaber, carving each tree lining the path, as well as many surroudning the path, until each was nearly severed at the base. These trees were then tied together along an intricate network of cords spanning the trees. Holt positioned himself at the midpoint of the trees and gripped his lightsaber.
The footsteps neared.
Not yet...
He saw the first of the advancing.
Not yet...
He saw the brunt of the force.
Not yet...
He saw the first pass underneath him.
Not yet...
Finally, one stepped across an imaginary line in the dirt.
Holt roared and leapt down from atop one of the trees, igniting his lightsaber as he dropped onto the place where each rope met at a single knot. He quickly cut through each of the many interconnecting ropes, resleasing each. The lack of tension set off a series of unfurls and tightenings that resuted in the trees systematically being felled upon one another and crashing into the ground around the Morequi forces. A hundred giant, wooden dominoes. Some Morequi were crushed, others broke formation, but the trees weren't a weapon.
A lone morequi foot soldier, a younger one, looked out along the mass of trees. They had been approaching a bend in the path, but he couldn't see it now. He turned around, everywhere looked the same. A dark forest encricling them with a ring of fallen trees.
Holt leapt to one of the few remaining trees and pointed his saber down at the confused army. He shouted to the nearby Feanturi warriors to strike. They were more than outnumbered, but they knew the woods, and they were fighting a disoriented foe. Holt dropped down upon them and began cutting his way through their forces as formation was broken to match the feanturi and Holt as the rest, led by a passing aerial unit, continued past the logs and towards the temple.
Holt had cast the signal. The others would soon begin ambush after ambush aong the path to the Temple. But for the meantime, Holt had some Morequi to defeat.

((erm, okay....i guess the morequi split into two groups then....cause chris and I are just ouside the forest....:-P......it's cool. lol ))
Talau finally took her saber from her belt, the anger in her quenched now....for the most part. All that was left now was the cold calculation of one to many long battles. She ignited Talon first, the purple blade bright purple against the world, then taking Helluin from her belt, she ignited it as well, the silver and blue blade pulsing in her hand....a familiar, and almost comforting feeling.
She could see some of the morequi's faces in the front line now. Some were angery, others neutral, and some fearful at the sight of the blades being ignited.
What had they expected? The Feanturi to go running at the sight of them?
She clenched her jaw slightly and took a calming breath, wrapping the force around her like a blanket...an invisible shield of comforting power. She gazed directly at one of the figures in the line coming toward them....a Lortin....an apprentice of the Morequi lords....most likely Tilias'.
He ignited the hilt in his hand, and several lengths of red light extended from it. A light-whip....yes...she had seen this one before.
The man glared at her, looking as if he truely wanted to be the death of her. Talau started walking forward calmly, her eyes never leaving the man.
Keta, realising what was happening, ignited her double bladed saber as well, and started walking as well, before breaking into a run, following Talau's lead. If they stayed standing there, those on roshback would charge them down, and slaughter them all....
The Lortin shouted angrily, and urged his rosh forward, but Talau sidestepped him, ducking, and kicking one of the legs of the rosh, sending it tumbling forward.

((If I got the geology correct im flanking Talau and Chris from the top of the ruined temple, a minute or two away))
The drums unnerved Latus, not only did they mean that the morequei were advancing, it meant that the dark side was drawing nearer. This would limit his temporal displacement ability but it wouldn't leave him completely without the force. He laughed, waiting to show the morequei what a real Feanturi could do. He slowly adjusted his sights on the rifle as they drew near to his firing range. The morequi wouldnt know what hit them. As soon as they hit the forest, Holt's trap went off. The trees felling themselves crushing and trapping some of the advancing soldiers.
Latus had loved this strategy the best because of one crucial thing... it gave him the clearest shot possible. His first target was one of the soldiers approaching Holt from his 9 o'clock. The soldier drew back to strike the padawan with a vibroblade when Latus squeezed the trigger. The recoil was the worst part and his silencer simply rattled off after he had fired, didnt help at all either. The shot sounded like a mild explosion had gone off inside the temple and he couldnt count on both hands how many time he had heard the echo. However, the inch of metal struck true, hitting the soldier clean in the head. The momentum did however cause him to stumble into Holt.

(The way I see it is this: Chirs and Talau are at the edge of the forest away from the temple. Holt is in the forest. You all are at the temple.)
A morequi fell onto Holt. The Nelvaan shurgged him off and cut through the last of the few remaining soldiers. He looked around. They had lost three. That was better than he expected. The youth shouted to the rest to follow him after the larger force to meet them. Seventeen of them in all clambered through the trees after the new trail blazed by the charging forces. Holt grabbed a spear lying along the path and hurled it forward at the armored, mounted leader of the group. A sound like a layer of foil being torn was heard as the razor-sharp stone cut through the thin metal of the helmet.
The Nelvaan and the Feanturi continued after the morequi, who looked more like they were retreating than attacking.

Jenno stood facing the enemy head on. Still, he had yet to move, or even activate his sabers. He was not far from Holt, the jedi was young, and Jenno was there to support him should he need it. But he suspected they would both be okay.
Talau and the rest of the army stood back nehind him, he was not in the centre of the force because he held no power over men in this battle, he was here as an ally. Having no troops to command, Jenno felt pleased, they wouldn't slow him down and he wouldn't have to think about traps they may fall into. However, he still tracked his friends and those that had come to help. Thinking about only his safety would lead to the darkside.
But they neared, in their large numbers. Their weapons raised. The cam closer. Jenno didn't move. They were now even closer, only 10 feet away in fact and still, he didn't move.they moved a few steps closer and then his sabers errupted.
Emerald Green in his right hand and Sky Blue in his left. The colours radiated around him, creating an aura about him. He stepped back on his right foot. He placed Blue Phoenix across his front as his protection before placing Green Dragon high above his head, ready to sweep in and attack.
They did not swarm around him, they aimed to march straight over him and crush him in their wake. But he would have none of that. His face flew into a flurry of emotion. He leapt off from the floor, pushing himself forward with his right foot. Calling the force to aid him, his feet left the ground.
He soared straight towards the Morequi, only a few feet off the ground, his sabers were over his head and he began to spin. He opened them slightly and he span, his robes swirled in elogance and his sabers were beautiful, a beautiful life stealing object that was soon mowing down the first few ranks of the Morequi that approached him.
He cut straight through, the lines were thin and the bodies fell to the floor behind him in a pile. The blood tricked into a pool around them. He laned with one knee on the ground, his head was hung low and his arms were stretched out wide. Slowly he stood up and raised his head. A look of calm spread across his face. Then, he moved towards Holt to see if he needed some help.
