[glow=blue,2,300]And where do you think you're going, hm?[/glow]
He asked with a raised eyebrow after laughing at her making fun of him. She obviously didn't know what a retawan's requirements were, or she'd not think she was going somewhere.

“Uhh…”
She paused as she realised she didn't have an answer. She obviously was missing something but wasn’t sure as to what. So she figured she’d go with the roundabout way of asking.
“It’s just I’ve seen how busy they keep the Feanturi knights and I don’t want to get in the way too much…”
Even as she spoke she was wracking her mind for something she may have forgotten about Retawan customs. She never really did get into that kind of stuff too much as she figured her chances of getting a master were ranging from slim to none. Still, it's nice to know she was wrong about something even if she was at a complete loss at the moment.

He smiled and put his hand on her shoulder.
[glow=blue,2,300]Once a retawan has a master they stay with that master. Think of it as...on the job training.[/glow]
He explained with a small chuckle and shrugged. It had been the way his master had taught him his responsabilities...likening them to regular people's daily lives.

“Ah… that one was pretty obvious wasn’t it?”
She already knew the answer and so was slightly disappointed with herself, but quickly brushed it aside. She wasn’t going to dwell on such depressing mistakes; she’d just make sure it didn’t happen again. She looked up to Daeron and smiled before asking what she was most curious about, the next step. She doubted he’d booked himself up with training in the hall the whole day because as much fun as it might sound… it wasn’t.
“So where to then, master?"

[glow=blue,2,300]Daeron, please. I'm not a formal person with these things. As for what's next....well, I've not much to do today, so getting to know you better would be a good idea.[/glow]
He said simply.

Verena’s brow furrowed as she closed her eyes and looked down as if she was deep in thought, although she already knew what she was going to say.
“Hmm, well I love vanilla ice cream and even better, being treated to vanilla ice cream.”
She gave Daeron an innocent smile as if she was unaware of the major hint in what she had said, but became a little more serious as she came up with another idea and so decided to twist things around a little.
“Well, how about you tell me about yourself first so I can get an idea of what you’d like to know and then I’ll go?”

He shrugged slightly. There was a lot to say, but none of it that he found interesting, or thought anyone else would find interresting either.
Well, there isn't much that's interresting about me. I'm the son of Talau Firians, I have a sister called Daawn...I was trained here at the fire temple....I tend to be 'too intense' as my sister tells me constantly...I like rosh riding, and I'm single.
He added, teasingly with a smile.

She smiled suggestively as she replied in an equally teasing manner.
“Aww, now that just takes away from a bit of the fun.”
Meanwhile however, on the inside, she was performing her own little dance. She reverted her thoughts back to what Daeron had said about himself though as she considered her own response. She actually had a few questions of her own but she decided to get her back-story out of the way first.
“Well, my father is Gorlan Serren and my mother, Faerun Serren. They’re actually both Rilan, I was just adopted. No siblings to speak of and I am a big fan of fighter ships as well as getting in on the action. I don’t mean to glorify war but I really would like to get in there and do my part to help.”
Having said her share she decided to ask what was bugging her, although she was hoping it was just a hiccup on Daeron’s part. She wanted to be as tactful as possible with it but in the end just said it out as it came to mind.
“Umm, Daeron, what about your father?”

He shrugged slightly and gave a non-committal sound.
Never knew him. Mom said he died before I was born. I believe her...she's never lied to me.

“Oh…”
In a way she felt she could sympathize with him since she didn’t have a clue as to who her own biological parents were, but she wasn’t going to press for answers. Instead she tried to change the subject.
“So now that we’re fully acquainted when do we get to go out there and save the universe?”
As a show of her enthusiasm, she slipped out a single tanto with a quick twirl around her finger followed by a few jabs. Of course, she knew that they’d probably start with a few minor tasks first or possibly just train if nothing exciting was happening, but nonetheless she was still eager to get started.

He chuckled and continued walking down the stone corridor. The reds and oranges in the lights swirling against the walls making them look like the stone itself was on fire.
Nothing so exciting yet unfortunately for you. I have some basic tests for you to see how far along you are in training.
He replied, stepping into one of the meditation rooms.

She followed quietly as Daeron spoke and grew a little curious as he mentioned something about tests. Unfortunately, she was hoping for more physical tests and knew that wasn’t the case as she spotted the room Daeron stepped into. Verena replaced her tanto as she entered the meditation room, flinching slightly at the thought of having her force powers tested. Her enthusiasm prevailed over her anxiety however and so she was able to just shrug it off and turn to the task at hand.
“Right, so where do I start?”
As she asked, she surveyed the meditation chamber in an attempt to find out what she may be tested on first; a practice in futility but she figured it didn’t hurt to try.

Good...have a seat please.
Daeron said, sitting down on one of the circular seats, and motioned for her to do the same.
It will be simple enough at first. Just a simple game or two.
He explained as he called over a small soft ball from one of the other chairs and let it hover around his hand lazily, waiting for her to get comfortable.
