Ushii shook his head.
[glow=blue,2,300]No, just remembering old times.[/glow]
Ushii leaned back in his chair.
[glow=blue,2,300]So tell me. How did you create your dark troopers? And why? It seems to me that getting a bunch of the most homicidal, psychopathic and schizophrenic spirits in the history of the galaxy to take over your armed forces - ones already loyal to you and highly trained - is something of a folly... Jabiim has always been strong in the dark side, especially since the Ninjaii emerged from hiding.[/glow]
Ushii avoided the topic of the Jedi serving the Regency, for now. His more immediate priority was finding out about the dark troopers.

"The Dark Troopers? Yes I find them to be some what... grueling as well. Though they do their jobs better than any armed force I have seen since the Sith Wars. But as to how I acquired them, you can think of them as a Gift."
He took a bite of his meal enjoying the taste of the tender meat. Then he looked to the fallen one ready to explain.
"When General Zoth attacked Coruscaunt I could not stand idly by. I love this planet and every civilian here. Zoth was truly a monster and I needed to stop him. So I invited him here, to my quarters, under the veil of a challenge. Upon arrival I offered him a proposition. He would act as my executor and I would hold his chain like a master of a hound. He would taste death, and I would be standing without an enemy."
"But naturally that would not do, he was a Sith lackey and he had no vision. Calmly I entered his mind and bent him to my will. Then I filled and stroked his pride and sent him to war against the Dark Lord of the Sith. I needed him dead. He was a danger to the Republic and to my growing Regency. Not to mention he had ordered the attack on the Jedi Temple on Taris and had plans to move against the Jedi on Yavin."
He made no extra motion of the mentioning of Yavin. Perhaps not Ushii would understand the Elite's position on the Jedi. He knew the exact location of the temple and he had not ordered an attack. Possibly he would be the first to believe him.
"The Dark Lord did his job, needless to say, and as I was the last and most proficient of the General's partners the leadership of the Dark Troopers fell lightly, and unnoticed into my hands."
With the story finished he took a long draw from his wine goblet. He swirled the contents then waited for either the next question in this back wards interrogation or another comment of the Dark Troopers.

Ushii hadn't realized that a new Dark Lord had arisen so soon. He desperately wanted to follow that line of inquiry, but he needed to follow the lead on the dark troopers.
[glow=blue,2,300]I have it on good intelligence that it was you presiding over the invocation of the dark troopers. Several weeks after General Zoth disappeared off of the political map. Apparently by the actions of this new Dark Lord.
So, by my reckoning, Zoth was dead for at least... thirteen days before the dark troopers were even created out of the ashes of the GAR.[/glow]

After finishing another sip of wine the Elite began the reteaching of the mislead rogue.
"Not quite a history buff are you, my boy?" Dominus began, hopefully at the end Ushii would understand the difference between Dark Trooper and Clone trooper. "You see, back when General Zoth was in his prime, he created an advanced army. They were super-human powerful and would soot straighter and faster than any clone the Republic cloners could ever hope to produce. These were the Dark Troopers you hear me refer to. The reforged army that nearly held the Republic at its knees so many years ago when the terror that was Zoth almost dominated the ruling government. After that series of wars, the people's faith in the Jedi and my faith in the Republic collapsed." He gave a soft cough then continued.
"You mistake my Clone troopers with the Dark Troopers of Zoth. The Dark Troopers are programed to follow one source. I have assigned their entire unit, the fighting 503, to Admiral Neal Gentrix. The Sith spirited Clone Troopers follow me directly." He filled another goblet with wine. "Does that clear up your little confusion?"

Ushii nodded.
[glow=blue,2,300]Alright, I see your difference now, but you can understand my confusion, when the majority of the population of the former Republic - which includes those systems who have not declared alliegiance to your Regency - refer to both groups as "Dark Troopers".
So tell me about your "Sith-spirited Clone Troopers"... shall we call them Sith Troopers, for ease of reference? Why make them? The Sith have been, historically, the most megalomaniacal, pscyopathic murders in the history of the universe. The clones had sworn an oath, programmed into them (all philosophical delimmas aside) to be loyal to the legally elected head of state - that would be you... they were highly trained... why infuse them with Sith spirits?[/glow]

"Legally elected, but illegitimate government. Let me tell you something. Just after I converted a majority of the Clone Army I went in search of the remaining Clones. Not to my surprise, I found none of them. The... 501st, as I recall, were nowhere to be found. Through the Force I learned of their deceit. So, my Friend, if I had not converted them to my side, there would have been the entire Clone Army of the Republic on the Jedi's doorstep. And you, as well as i, know they would not be looking for Generals to lead them. I did what I had to because my hand was pushed. As you may suspect by now, the Sith Empire you hear about and this Regency have not quite gotten along... yet.
"I needed protection and so did the unknowing Jedi and civilians. If it were not for me, war would have already have broke out between the Jedi and Sith, Regency and Empire. Yes, I delivered a blow, but they are coming. And when they come, there will be hell to pay for any who stand in their way. I found it better to have a Clone Army and Dark Trooper regiments along with the finest navy yet in existence standing between the wrath of the Dark Lord of the Sith and me and the people trying to stay alive in this Galaxy."

[glow=blue,2,300]So tell me about this Dark Lord then. I would have thought that with the destruction of Lorthias, it would take at least several years for the various lackeys and minions to resolve their infighting. That one has claimed the title so quickly is quite disturbing.[/glow]
Oosh didn't trust Dominus, but the leader of the Regency was still the most reliable source of information about many such topics. The trick was in sifting through the lies to find the truth. ... And figuring out which truths were only half-truths and evasions.

"Ah yes, Dark Lord of the Sith. Your hunger for knowledge is quite impressive. Though you do bring up an interesting point. With the destruction of Lorthias, it simply does not make sense that another has claimed the throne. Though It seems one has none the less.
"Your guess is as good as mine on this matter but it is likely that the minions and lackeys you speak of did not rally to support Lorthias. If I remember correctly Lorthias gained power by intimidation not respect nor best in battle. And if I do recall Lorthias only surrounded himself with his hybrid class. It's likely that the Sith we fight today have been together since Lorthias but now with his defeat have only now sided to reveal themselves. They, now, would be the most powerful Sith threat.
"But you also brought up the idea of them squabbling over the title... This is what bothers me the most. That there was such little fighting. This means that these Sith are willing to work with one another. In history the Sith Order has been loose at best. It is disturbing that so many sith can join together with a mutual goal in mind. Ushii, be more weary of that, I would if i were you."
His speech, though if boded ill news for the Regency and Jedi alike, seemed as if it had barely phased him. The life of a senator as well as Ninjaii, Sith, and culture student had taught him to be immune to such ways of displaying emotion through duologue even if the words meant certain war.

Ushii stood up.
[glow=blue,2,300]Thank you for your time, Elite. I'm sure you must have much more pressing matters than to discuss politics with a disgraced Jedi Knight.[/glow]
He gave a short bow and turned towards the door.
Halfway to the exit, he stopped and half-turned back towards Dominus.
[glow=blue,2,300]So you haven't met the Dark Lord? Have no idea who he is?[/glow]

He shook his head firmly.
"Not the slightest. Though I do intend to find out. I like to consider myself to be a traffic of information, and not knowing the identity of the Dark Lord of the Sith... that is unacceptable. But when I do, Master Jangahir, I will be in contact with you. Though I do hope you will do the same. But my greatest wish is for you to have left this meeting with a new sense on insight. Things are not always as they appear... but sometimes the answer you are looking for, is right at the edge of a blade. It would be an honor for you to meet with me again, I truly did enjoy our little chat."
The Elite stood and crossed the room fingering a pad that opened the door safely and let the guards know that he was not to be touched.
"Oh, Master Ushii, may the Force be with you..."

Ushii let a feral grin escape his lips.
[glow=blue,2,300]I do believe that that is the first full truth you've told me today, Dominus. But how do you know that I'm not the Dark Lord? Having set up this little meeting to get the width and breadth of my opponent?[/glow]
Ushii laughed as he bowed once more.
[glow=blue,2,300]Of course I'm not... but that was a chance you took. Good day, Dominus.[/glow]
Ushii walked out of the office without a backwards glance, knowing that he was being used for Dominus' ends, just as much as Dominus was being used for his own. Now, to get back to Yavin Four... Ianna would certainly be worried about him, and Master Darken needed to know the current state of affairs as quickly as possible.
There would be more spying to be done in the future, the Jedt outcast was sure, but for now, it was time to head home...

Surrell stalked down the all too familiar halls of the Imperial Palace, his precious captive in tow. 20 clone troopers stood side by side the Dark Lord, attracting glances from the regular denizens of the Regency Court. Surrell walked with pride, having ascended the ranks of the Regency Navy so quickly. Surrell's name was known on Coruscant as a very able navyman, a promising prospect for the growing Regency. He turned the corner, leading his men and Vaerok into the personal quarters of the Elite Dominus himself. Once Surrell arrived at the door. He keyed in the authorization and the doors swung open, admitting the party. The Elite sat behind his desk, apparently busy at work on the computer terminal at his desk. Surrell saluted him as the clone troopers walked in with the Dark Lord Vaerok.

"Thank you Capitan," the Elite said without looking up from his work. "It seems your transportation service is becoming most in valuable."
He finally looked up from the datasheets and with a wisp on his hand, dismissed the court and all military inhabitants. "Surrell, you are free to do as you please. You have been off cited for a great number of months and you are fit to have some time on planet. Or, if you feel up to the challenge, you may scout Regency Space. Something is lurking and it would be in your and our best interest if we knew what that was before it finds us."
After that he would not address the Regency Capitan. He just sat and watched his new 'prisoner'. He looked for the first time into the eyes of the Dark Lord of the Sith. And so he waited letting tensions buzz, waiting for him to respond.

Surrell sat down in a lounge chair. He had not been asked to leave, therefore he would stay and watch. So far, a fierce stare-down began, the Dark Lord's cold eyes trying to penetrate those of the Elite. Surrell was slightly amused, but remembered to remain professional. Surrell didn't have much family, so there was nothing much for him to do. He could always go and claim lands for the Regency, or return to his post on Jabiim. That didn't make much sense though. He could also return to the Bespin system, and start a fight, but that didn't make much sense either. Surrell decided he would stay in the Imperial Palace and watch.

The Dark Lord, still in his Crimson costumed attire and thesbian mask looked over to the Captain and to Dominus.
[shadow=red,left,300][glow=Orange,2,300]Chancellor, your actions as of late have been... disturbing to say the least. My, my-- if I did not know that your death would be assured if you stabbed me in the back, I might begin to contemplate your betrayal of the True Lord of the Sith.[/glow][/shadow]
Vaerok walked slowly toward his desk as he spoke, he ended his menacing introduction by placing his gloved hands upon the fine finish of the desk's surface and a feeling of sinister warmth escaped from under the porcelain mask's area surrounding the Dark Lord's eyes.
[shadow=red,left,300][glow=Orange,2,300]Do assure me my suspicions are not to be confirmed. I don't want to taint this masterpiece with your inferior blood.[/glow][/shadow]

Ushii had slipped back inside the palace, dampning his Force-signature.
Slipping through the shadows, he ambushed a guard, knocking him unconcious with a quick k'tara blow to the back of the neck, then slipping into the armour and full-face helmet to better move around unmolested. The soldier was tied with his own rope and stashed in a service closet.
Moving with purpose, he made his way back towards Dominus' throne room, deathly aware of the dangerous game he was playing, but the Force would not be denied.

Surrell was not Force-sensitive, but even he could feel the tensions growing taut in the room. For some reason Surrell didn't want to be there when the tension snapped. He stood up, bowed quickly to the Elite, and opened the doors. A lone clone trooper stood outside the door. Surrell didn't seem him and bumped into him. The clone muttered a hasty apology and Surrell went on his way. He left the premises promptly and went to the Grand Army of the Regency Headquarters, were he put in a requisition for 5 Victory-class Star Destroyers to be added to his fleet. When the requisition was filled, promptly due to Surrell's rank and priority, Surrell decided it was time for him to leave here.

Dominus pressed a button and metal rims locked all windows and the entrances. He did not want any of his advisers. Also he pressed a jamming sequence that he had used during his confrontation with General Zoth. Very effective.
If Vaerok was waiting for him to sit like the rest of his lap dogs, he would be sourly disappointed. An ally, yes, but another Sith to add to his army, no. For starters Dominus would not openly support the Sith Empire until the Rebellion openly attacked or confirmed themselves.
[glow=beige,2,300]"I do not openly condemn my allies unless they prove themselves incompetent or otherwise inferior to myself. Only then do I move on to my next partner. It seems fate has lead me to you... but even fate must pass its test of authenticity.
"I know of your plans for a new Sith Empire, but surely you are not foolish enough to openly reveal yourself to the Jedi. Or for that matter, many of the sith. I have found finding a good partner quite bothersome with the Sith. Frankly I find it easier to not deal with many of them at all. The Jedi are much easier to manipulate and use for your own purposes. They do not try to stab you int he back.
"Now, my Lord, please make yourself welcome and fill me in with your and your Sith Lord's position in the Galaxy."[/glow]

The doors were shut and locked when Ushii arrived.
But doors were not the only way into a room.
In a building as large as the palace, some of the rooms were so deep inside the building that breathable atmosphere had to be generated within the building and pumped into these rooms for them to be liveable.
Especially rooms as secure as the Regent's office suite.
Backtracking, Ushii made his way past security gates by use of his stolen armour's embedded passcard into the air exchange, trading nods of greeting with the guard on duty, he jerked his thumb over his shoulder.
[glow=blue,2,300]I've been sent to relieve you. Commander wanted to speak with you. Something to sensitive to be told over chanel.[/glow]
Obiediance was so natural that Ushii didn't even have to use the Force.
As soon as the soldier had left, Ushii locked the door and stripped out of the armour, tucking into a disused corner. The air ducts would be a tight fit.
The blaster and back-up combat knife from the armour were secured to the matte black undersuit before Ushii slipped into the mammoth system of air ducts.
If he'd tried this trick from the outside, he almost surely would have failed. The air ducts closer to the surface of the building were festooned with security systems and weaponry. Those inside the building were not.
Ushii used the Force to guide him to the suite once again, letting it flow through him in a passive manner, guiding him to the right choices in paths, until he came to a grated opening, several metres above the floor, looking down at two men deep in conversation: Dominus, an another man who was robed and masked, preventing identification.
Cautiously, aware that he might be discovered at any time, Ushii watched and listened...
