The lights from the passing levels flashed by as the two Jedi stood in the center of the lift. Nikos had left Tal's hand wrapped around his forearm as they stood close together silently as the lift slowed to a stop at the level where the restraunts and cafes resided. The door opened to let the passengers embark. The uplifting lift music still tinkling through the speakers in the back ground.
After you my dear. Lead and I shall follow.
Nikos smiled his roguish grin as he bowed and awaited Tal to exit the lift.

(( and sake? >_> no...no sake --the drink-- not in restaurant 5 )) Talau chuckled slightly and shook her head, unwrapping her arm from his and nodding as the doors slid open with a hiss of air. Nikos, I've had enough of leading for one lifetime, but if you insist. Though you had better not walk behind me or I'll have to beat you 'round the head for being a pain. She was teasing him of course, but there was a bit of truth to it. There always was in jokes and teasing. The former jedi hadn't been bred up to lead, or at least not to have the DESIRE to lead, she'd been bred up to have the desire to help others and only lead for as long as it was needed and no longer...not to take up the mantle of a leader of an entire world for the rest of her life. Daawn had that urge, that desire, but Talau didn't. Another failure on her part she supposed, but it just wasn't something she'd ever even had a notion of doing. Even during the time the war had been raging out of control and she'd had to smuggle the younglings and padawans away from the temple Talau had only done so out of necessity more than desire. Mentally shrugging off these thoughts, she realized that she'd been letting her feet and the force lead the way once again. Pausing, the rilan woman blinked as she turned her head to the side and there was the place she'd actually meant to be heading for. Smiling, she chuckled a bit as she let out a pleased feeling ripple through the force as a sort of 'thank you' to it for taking her in the right direction when she had clearly not been paying attention. This is the place. She stated simply, gazing at the richly colored and ornately painted facade before stepping into the darkened interior that smelled heavily of spices and incense (mainly spices). The inside was, surprisingly, not as warm as one might have expected from such a place, and many different races were scattered about the tables and cushions interspersed between the gossamer and silk hangings.

Nikos stepped up next to Tal and stood there for a moment in the dim lighting letting his eyes adjust before he spotted a two-seater table midway along the left hand wall. It had been awhile since he had eaten real food. His diet of late had mainly consisted of ration cubes and hibernation trances. He took the lead and offered his hand to Tal to lead her through the dimly lit yet fragrant restaurant to the table he had spotted. He sidled through the tables as if something else otherworldly lead him. He stopped in front of the intended table and gentlemanly offered Tal her seat first on one of the cushions that lay about the table.
This table I hope is to your comfort my dear. Please ladies before gentlemen. Its been awhile since I've had real food. You know how spaceflight is lacking in culinary arts.
He laughed gently and waited for Tal to take her seat before he himself would sit.

Taking a seat on one of the cushions so she would have her back to the wall, Talau nodded to her companion and smiled, patting a cushion beside her.
Bah, it doesn't have to be unless you're in a fighter...or that scrap heap you were calling a ship the last time I saw you. True the food doesn't last forever, but Force sake Nikos, stop by a planet every now and again to get some supplies and you're set on real food.
She stated simply as the twi'lek waitress stepped up to their table and waited patiently for their drink orders. Ordering a juice drink, Tal turned to him again and shook her head.
Honestly, you'd think I didn't teach you anything. Even when we were galavanting around the galaxy with younglings in tow we had to stop to resupply.
She tapped the side of his head with a finger.

Nikos listened intently to Tal as she spoke, and silently told the waitress to bring some water. As she spoke, his face fell into a somber expression and his eyes looked haunted.
There are things my dear that one could only hope to never see or come across in the void of space. Then again there are such beauties that someone of your nature could appreciate. Again I am sorry to let you worry. I'm not going to run anymore. Even when I am confronted with the man who holds your heart.
As he spoke he let his presence in the Force drop to nothing and hid once again like he had learned through the years. He did leave the link open to her though he filtered the emotions he let flow through it like a screen sifting silt looking for the prize.
Please Tal, tell what has happened? He whispered gently.

Sighing slightly, she rested back against the wall and let her head fall back against it gently as she listened to him. Truth be told, she didn't have much to say in way of a reply to his comments on space. Whether she knew what lay out there or not was not the point, and he knew little of what she did or didn't know these days. In light of this, she decided to simply forgo replying to that and skip straight to his question.
What's happened? Well, considering I'm not entirely sure if you mean on Rilia, in the universe, or with myself only...I'll start generally and we can go from there.
She replied simply, giving a light shrug of her shoulders and lifting her head once more to gaze about the room at the decor.
Not much has changed since the last time we spoke...Rilia is a bit more safe, and the Morequai are nearly a memory...and the odd part...one of their number, a former General in fact, had been helping us...sort of. Either way, we've captured or killed most of them.
The Nosferatu and Ninjaii and even Sith are still lurking around the universe, but I'm feeling a close coming to the battles...at least...as far as the jedi are concerned, and with the fate of the Feanturi is now inevitably linked with theirs. Whether this ending will be in our favor or not...I cannot tell.
She shook her head slightly, the braid of her hair swaying with the motion.
As for myself...there isn't much to say. I am invariably entwined with everything whether I like it or not, and the most I can do is watch and bide my time trying to prepare for all outcomes possible....
Even if that outcome is another final stand on Rilia against a much larger and more deadly foe than the Morequai.

A hurt look crossed Nikos' face for a split second, but he let the sorrow and sadness linger in his eyes as he reached across the table for Tal's hand. The waitress quietly set their respective drinks on the table and without another queue wondered off to serve other customers for a bit while the silence lingered in the air like the fragrances in the room.
I'm sorry to hear that dear. I've been a fool for far too long. No more.
