((Observation Deck))
Stars. They were captivating, as if formed from the essence of wonder. The stars were a familiar face. They were a constant, and no matter where in the galaxy one was, from Tatooine to Arbra, the stars were ever present.
Grizzelda took a deep breath, letting more than air fill her body. The stars were adventure, and adventure was Grizzelda's ecstasy. Grizzelda was humbled at the expanse of the Galaxy, yet proud of the fact that she'd managed to conquer so very much of it.
Suddenly, a familiar voice cut into her musings. "Not that this isn't beautiful and all... but when are we going to go eat?" The voice was young and girlish, yet belonged to a human not much younger than Grizzelda herself.
"Henna, The concept of patience is entirely lost upon you," Grizzelda retorted, voice teasing.
"I like it up here," a third voice insisted, deeper and more mature than Henna's, but still female. "Personally, I'm sick of crowds."
"Oh c'mon, Saem," Henna mock-whined, "You're such a hermit. I think it's a miracle mother birthed us both..."
"Oh really? I find it embarrassing. If you'd stop hitting on every uniformed cadet, this trip might be less painful."
"Was not! Besides, one of them winked back."
"He must have felt pity."
Grizzelda chortled at the bickering sisters. Despite appearances, Henna and Saem really were the best of friends, and though Saem acted like the eldest, in reality it was reversed. They were old friends of Grizz; the three had all been kidnapped together four years ago. Great stories, those. Even so, it would probably be wise to separate them before the tranquil mood was entirely ruined.
"Henna," said Grizz, "I think that Zeltron over there is watching you." She gestured to a shy-looking man tending to the plants. "Perhaps you should go talk to him?"
Henna's face lit up brighter than a halogen bulb. "Really?"
Grizzelda's expression was more than enough to say, 'Do you think I'd kid about something like this?' And then Henna was off, smoothing her hair and adjusting her skirt, vain as a preening crow.
Grizzelda's chuckle was met with Saem's look of relief. "Thanks a million," Saem said, and for once, there was no sarcasm in her tone. "Though, that guy doesn't stand a chance." Saem's wry amusement was clear in her features.
A couple walked by-- Grizz and Saem were standing near a walk-way,-- and Grizz took a step back to give them space. However, she mis-stepped and ended up in the way of someone else, feeling a force collide suddenly with the back of her shoulder. Grizzelda turned around quickly to see who it was she had run into, expression an intermingling of surprise and curiosity...
