Name: Aghyr “Techie” Henbor
Race: Human/Mandalorian
Age: 36
Height:6’4’’
Weight: 175 lb
Appearance:
(ignore the dialogue)
Underneath his helmet, Aghyr has a rather youthful looking face, as if he was ten years younger. He has somewhat fiar hair, which he keeps very very short (a lesson learned from when he got a few strands caught in a power coupling). His features are more rough and angular than anything else.
Birth place: Selonia
Profession: Militant Tech Specialist.
Bio: Aghyr did not see the sun until he was sixteen years old. He was born in one of the hundreds of underground cities beneath Selonia’s surface to a Mercenary and a dancer (A pairing that, marriage-wise, very often fails to work out, but in this case managed somehow to succeed). He grew up as normal as any child can, aside from the fact that he shared a residence with sixteen Selonians and an angry old Drall.
The aforementioned day whereupon Aghyr would leave the tunnels of Selonia occurred exactly a week after the surprise attack on Yavin IV. With this, a rash of uprisings began as worlds began to be conquered by the New Empire. With this came a large demand from the Empire for more troops. And, once an offer was made for mercenaries, Aghyr’s father took up the challenge. Sadly, Fennet Henbor didn’t last long enough in the war for even a single payment to be made to Aghyr and his widowed mother.
After that day, the two could no longer survive on his mother’s salary alone. And so Aghyr, being more than old enough, was forced to leave the tunnels, and search for a way to make enough Credits to support the two of them. Surface-side, the young man, working as a repairman, found life no easier. Soon after leaving, he was forced to return, as a raid on a cantina by Imperial troops found his mother shot dead by accidental fire.
That was the day that Aghyr realized that the Empire was to blame for the loss of both of his parents. He wanted nothing more than to leave Selonia and the growing Empire forever. But, that is when he was “taken in” by the Imperial Militant Orphanage Program, designed to give orphaned minors on Core worlds a place to live and a decent job serving their Empire.
Aghyr, after completing Basic training, began work in the Imperial Technical Corps., fixing damaged weaponry, droids, and ships on various inner and mid-rim worlds. One such world, Onderon, found the young man his destiny. The Empire had no real trouble conquering Onderon, but they sure had trouble holding it. Mandalorians from Dxun continued to launch assault after assault on the Empire, creating plenty of work for the young Techie. On one such assault, the Mandalorians made the mistake of taking prisoners, of which Aghyr was one of. After this insult to the Empire, Imperial forces dropped down upon Dxun, driving the Mandalorians from it. The small group of survivors (made so small by the fact that the Mandalorians had to fight so valiantly to keep the moon) fled to one of their other worlds, bringing along Aghyr. They were soon chased by the Empire from world to world until about six months ago, when they reached the far ice world of Rhen Var, where, being a prisoner, Aghyr was finally inducted into the Mandalorians. Today, using knowledge gained from countless battles and repairs on various different droids, ships, and weaponry, he designs and builds various military-grade weapons and armors for the Mandalorians.
