It was raining. Jaxus didn't know just WHAT it was raining, but he chose to ignore that disturbing question as he crawled out from the wreckage of the flaming escape pod and into the industrial area of Coruscant known as "The Works". With all the industry, refinery, and various other forms of pollution, the area had been classified by Coruscant officials as a carcinogen.
The young tarro leapt onto the ground and backed slowly away from the pod. He checked his person and found both of his DL-44s still in place. He turned and looked at the new world and, not knowing where else to go, took his first step towards his future.

Several of Nargata's thugs watched the bad from afar,
[glow=darkgreen,2,300]"First a message from the Network now another new face, think we should tell Nargata?"[/glow] said the Human Mercenary into his comlink, a Keelesh voice soon responded,
[glow=darkred,2,300]"Yes, I think we should probally keep an eye on everything in the area."[/glow] said the Keelesh voice from on the other side of the com link.
[glow=darkgreen,2,300]"I saw a duck over in the park yesterday, does that count?"[/glow] said the human mercenary in a sarcastic voice,
[glow=darkred,2,300]"Probally, and the question is if this is a enemy or ally."[/glow] said the keelesh voice with a slight laugh,
[glow=darkgreen,2,300]"Ever think it's just some guy landing for a weekend on Courscant?"[/glow] asked the Human Mercenary,
[glow=darkred,2,300]"Perhaps, but we can't take that risk during these times."[/glow] said the Keelesh voice, ending the transmission.

Jaxus looked up and over directly at the Mercenary, and, though only Jaxus knew it, he was making perfect eye contact. The tarro quickly drew his blasters to his hands through the Force, immediately squeezing off two blasts from each. These blasts soared outwards for a fashion, before curving around and then directly towards a single focal point. Which just happened to be the heart of the mercenary.

THe human mercenary fell down dead, the Kaleesh, hearing the blaster and fall immediatly begain to communicate too Nargata, [glow=darkgreen,2,300]"We have a man down and reports of attacks on our organzations on Bespine and Ruusan."[/glow] reported the Kaleesh.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Ruusan is more then capable of defending itself, and as for Bespine The Monarch is being sent there to help defend it."[/glow] said Montross on the other line, after several minitues another transmission was sent to the Kaleesh watchman, [glow=purple,2,300]"Serven Orlon has been sent to check out this new disturbance in Coruscant."[/glow] said Montross.

Seeing these mercenaries removed as obstacles, Jaxus raced off towards the looming skyscrapers in the distance. He would not be preyed upon so easily.

Within the distance what sounded like a small rocked comming to a stop a small rocked, the moment the song ended, Servern flew out of the sky, landing a few feet away from Jaxus with his modified E-11 blaster rifle pointed at him, fully clothed in his mandalorian armor.
[glow=gold,2,300]"Wrong move comming here, Network dog, it's a pitty theres no bounty on your head, but I am going to enjoy this regaurdless."[/glow] said Serven, his voice comming out emotionless and almost robotic because of his helm.

Jaxus stopped short of the mandalorian.
"Network?"

In many careers where one constantly gets caught up in dangerous situations, you need to know one someone is lieing, Bounty Hunting was one of them, and Serven, very good at dedecting the slightest hint of dishonesty or confusion in someone's voice. The young Tarro was confused, but that hadn't me he just didn't shoot one of Nargata's men.
[glow=gold,2,300]"If your not Network then who sent you? The Regenacy? The Sith? Or Zelka the Hutt?! Answer!"[/glow] commanded Serven, his finger still twitching as if he would shoot Jaxus at any moment, which in truth he probally would.

Jaxus shouted through the now pouring rain.
"I come from Dubrillon, put down your weapon. I do not wish to harm you, but I will not be threatened."

[glow=gold,2,300]"I can tell your not lieing, but regaurdless your comming with me to Nargata's, this isn't a choice."[/glow] hissed Serven Orlon, casually setting his weapon to stun, a feature he used often to subdue bounties wanted alive.

Jaxus looked up at the bounty hunter. If he hadn't just barely survived a sub-orbital crash into The Works, he might have kept walking towards the city. But the rain was starting to burn his skin, and Nargata's place, whoever that was, was probably nicer.
"Take me there."

[glow=gold,2,300]"Smart."[/glow] said Servern, [glow=gold,2,300]"Hand me your weapons, then we'll get moving."[/glow] said Severn, his blaster still aimed at Jaxus.

Jaxus stared at the helmet's visor for a few moments before answering.
"Why don't you hold onto yours, and I'll hold onto mine?"

[glow=gold,2,300]"Let me repharse that, I have armor on thats quite comfortable, and we can stand out here in this acid rain all night, you'll have half a layer of skin left in a few hours, I'll have some rust, where not moving until I know your not going to try to shoot me in the back."[/glow] said Servern.

Jaxus didn't even move. Instead, an invisible layer of Force energy appeared overhead, which acted like an awning, diverting the rain, leaving Jaxus dry.
"Hmmmm.... skin feels better already. And I would worry more about being shot in the face. Let's get going. If you'd like, we can walk side by side. Maybe we should hold hands, too?"

[glow=gold,2,300]"Wise ass."[/glow] Serven muttered, walking behind him and putting his blaster tword his back, before shoving him forward,
[glow=gold,2,300]"Keep walking forward, you want to turn right at the pile of broken droids, if I see so much as a sthingy in your hand your another fried pile of ash on the ground."[/glow] said Servern.

Jaxus sighed and continued on, following the bounty hunter's instructions.

As the gianatic shape of Nargata's palace begain to slowly come into view, a blaster shot tore through the air and flew past Jaxus and only cenitmeters away from Serven's head. Servern rolled out of Jaxus's way, returning fire, however, soon the sound of metal hitting the ground could be heard and the familar tone of M.A.D-92
[glow=silver,2,300]"Statement: Master, do you need help in disposing of Nargata's target."[/glow] said M.A.D-92,
[glow=gold,2,300]"No, but you nearly killed me and the one I'm brining in."[/glow] said Serven,
[glow=silver,2,300]"Statement: My apologies master, my targeting systems where off because of the acid rain. Shall I kill the Taro Meatbag?"[/glow] asked M.A.D-92, with a high and hopeful tone.
[glow=gold,2,300]"Unfortently, no, he's not with the Network and I'm trying to find out why and how he was able to shoot down a spy from a nine story building."[/glow] said Servrus as he shoved Jaxus forward, the palace looming in the distance.

Jaxus didn't even move when the droid fired upon them.
"Shall we continue?"

[glow=gold,2,300]"Keep moving."[/glow] ordered Servern, M.A.D-92 now following the two.
[Should we continue this in the "Nargata the Hutt's Palace" forum?]
