[glow=blue,2,300]You misunderstood me Senator....that was to be a minimum limit. There should be no maximum limit. Once some contribute they will feel more apt to contribute more. Do you understand now?[/glow]she said pleasently. She didn't trust Aiken....he was too power hungrey, and gave her a feeling of falseness.

[glow=Green,2,300]Senators, but what if this War rages on for longer than we thought it would. Jedi and Sith fight fiercely and have determination, and neither of them is wiling to give up. The droids may kill some Padawans and Apprentices, but what of the Masters? When all that is left from these two orders is the Masters, the droids will not be enough, even if buy more of them. Then we'll have to charge more taxes and the families may want to stop paying their bonds and contributing with the War.[/glow]

Aiken was workign the numbers he gave them all. Working them thru as fast as he could. It seemed logical. And it would work if it was only 13%, anything more then 15% they amy be in trouble and cut things they cant afford to.
Accroding to my numbers as long as we stay under 15% loss of revenue we shuld make it, but the Munnilinst and baking clans should look into this furthur. I agree it will last longer then a year, but most of us come up for re election then too. But we must keep the Revenues below a 15% loss after the war whenever it ends. anything more could be dangerous. A miniumum is not good either. We should put a minium purchase on the bond itself i agree, but there should be a max also due to the possible outcomes afterwards.
Just then his aid said somethign over his shoulder and then he slowly hovered back into place in the senate.

The plan works all the way through. As long as they continue paying their reward will only grow. Also we can use cheep labors such as the Jawas to make more droids and use them for repairs. They will charge less. If everyone does their part in this was everything will work out fine. Thank you for your support Senator.

[glow=blue,2,300]Senators! It is not the Jedi we should be going after! It is the Sith. If we focus on defeating them the war will be won. Have you all forgotten that the Jedi have been the protectors of the Republic for thousands of years?! Why are we not siding with them? If we sided with the Jedi, who are obviously willing to die for their cause, the war would be won that much faster! The Sith would never stand a chance against the Republic army AND the Jedi![/glow]

Aiken brought forth his hover as it was nearing the morning break.
Senate. the campaign has begun. A small encampment was destroyed and all Jedi killed. One Master, 3 knights, 12 padawons, and 4 students. One droid was destroyed and two others have minimumal damage and will require no repairs. they repaired themselves form the destroyed droid. It was a success so far. They are searcing for more encampments.
The morning session was closed soon after the announcement, Aiken did not want to be anti Jedi like this, he just thought that no one should have that much power like the Jedi did, and The Sith will be next,

Senator, are you not aware that the Jedi as of now have been accused of slaughtering people all over the Galaxy. We cannot take the side of the Jedi or Sith because they are not on our side, the side of democray. Due to farther investagation the Jedi and Sith will be heald on the same level. His hover dock returned to its position and he heased for his Office.

[glow=Green,2,300]Senator, the Jedi are accused in different places, for horrible crimes. Some of them have proved to be ill-intented.
Ans as to the droid campaign. It seems that these droids are good. These first twenty should take care of the rest of the Jedi.[/glow] He left the place and headed to his quarters.

Aunna was furious!
How could they all be so stupid?! The only reason the Jedi weren't on their side was because the Senate was trying to KILL THEM!
"I wouldn't be on our side either." she mumbled as she stepped out of her hover pod.
She needed to contact the council as quickly as she could. 14 padawans!? 12 students?! They were Children for God's sake! She would not have the deaths of so many good people on her conscience.....
"Stupid Idiots." she grumbled as she walked down the path to her offices.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(in her office)
[glow=blue,2,300]"Blamed for Crimes they didn't commit!!"[/glow] she yelled into the com unit. She was having a heated debate with her representative on Selonia.
[glow=blue,2,300]"The Jedi have always been our allies....our GREATEST allies at that! We can't just turn our backs on them now! Not when they need us most!"[/glow]
"But Senator....the deaths here....."
[glow=blue,2,300]"I don't believe that it was the Jedi. Why would they destroy their own ships so they would be trapped there?! Did you fail to notice that the Sith were the only ones to escape with unscathed ships?!...Or that they were the only ones that weren't caught?!....."[/glow]
"But....but the detinators...."
[glow=blue,2,300]"Then why did they work so hard to dismantle them?! They could have left as soon as they set them! Why didn't they if they were intent on killing?!"[/glow]
There was no answer to her questions...only the sound of a very silent, very frightened, diplomat. Senator Talonsia's wrath was well known among her diplomats, but it was tolerated....simply because it was a rightous anger, that more often than not had the full ring of truth behind it....though it sent even the most stout, and....hard headed...representatives to quailing.
[glow=blue,2,300]"That's what I thought. No answer....why?"[/glow]
"Well.....because...because I have no good answer to that....it very well doesn't make sence." the man on the other end admitted.
[glow=blue,2,300]"At least you're willing to admit it Riley."[/glow]she said, her anger slightly appeased....at least for the moment. There were bigger fish to fry as of yet.
"Though...you know Senator....the odds are against your point 10 to 1...." Riley added nervously.
She rolled her eyes at the com unit, as if Riley could see her...which she was fairly certain he was imagining her look of exasperation at this very moment.
[glow=blue,2,300]"Riley you should know by now....NEVER tell me the odds."[/glow] with that she shut off the com unit, and sat down heavily in her chair....she had alot of thinking to do.
Nodding to the secretary in the antechamber to Senator Talonias' office, Senator Arkus Darillian of New Alderaan entered the office.
Please do try to calm yourself my dear Aunna. The other Senators are fools. I do humbly apologize I was unable to make the meeting, but I had other business to attend to. From the review of the meeting I was able to discern that we will need to take matters into our own hands. I may be an old man, but I am not without my resources.
The former military commander gently smiled. He had already set into place measures to aid the Jedi's effort. He would need Aunna's help if his plan was to bare fruit.
Senator Aiken left the Senate chambers quickly and headed for that meeting. On the way though he got more bad news, the Droids were nto fairing well against the othe rJedi after that first encounter. Odd he thought, they were much tougher then this for Jedi, Sith on the other hand he can see being ruthless wiht them but not Jedi.
this was odd that the Jedi would fall so quickly, maybe the Masters have not survived thru the first onslaught as we thought they would have. Afterall the plan to get him in office was brillant. He was begged to take the job rather then asking for it or being next in line. Her plans were perfect up till now, this was wierd.
He was jsut about to enter the office of the Senator Fark's office for his meeting.
[glow=blue,2,300]Oh! Arkus! You startled me![/glow] she said, putting a hand to her chest.
She had been rapped in her own thoughts when he came in.
[glow=blue,2,300]Please, do sit down! Tell me....I know that look. That look means you have a plan. I'm game....I've just been told that the odds are against us, by Riley.[/glow]she stated pleasently.
Senator Fark Ohassi stood in his chambers, waiting for the other senators he had invited. He saw Senator Aiken waiting by the door. [glow=Green,2,300]Yes, come in, Senator.[/glow]
Senator Ohassi, what is it you want? I do have many things to do before we are in session for the after noon.
Wihtout making any gesture beisdes the hand shake to the Senator, he was nervous about the whole thing. Somethign was amiss and he hoped he wasnt in trouble with the deals he mad already. He knew the Jedi backers were angry with him for getting the droids approved while they were gone, but it was his way to power.
Yes as I said I am not without my resources my dear Aunna. I've already implemented a series of orders that have been carried out. The process of setting up a network of safe houses and hideaways has been instituted. I've pulled all the strings and called all the favors in that I could. It should be enough, but I'm afraid there won't be any Jedi left to aid if these droids of theirs aren't stopped.
Arkus' shoulders slumped after his report and he slowly sat in a comfortable chair across from Senator Talonias. His age was finally showing through. He no longer looked the strapping military commander he used to be, but a tired old man that hated war.
Aunna looked a Arkus. He seemed depressed....but who in their right mind wouldn't be?
[glow=blue,2,300]Arkus, rest assured that I have my fleet preparring to fly to Kashyyyk as we speak. They will bring the Jedi to safety. They are good, fast, and strong ships....I trust the captains and crews....they were all hand picked.[/glow]she said consollingly.
She pressed a button on her desk.
[glow=blue,2,300]Miraya? Don't tell me the odds, alright?[/glow]she said calmly.
"Yes Senator Talonsia"
He shook Senator Aiken's hand and nodded to him. [glow=Green,2,300]I am ware of your duties, Senator. But there has come a time where the strong and cunning must take control of things. I know of your original intentions. But, once this commitee is formed, we should restrict some of the control of the droids to the more...enlightened ones. I am still waiting for Senator Viskois, but, if we are voted the representants of this commitee, we will be able to have more direct control of the droids. So, what do you say?[/glow] He said with a grin, hoping that the Senator would understand what he meant.
Aiken sat down with out losin ghis posture at all. he looked alsmot thru the Senator as he listened.
I do agree. There must be a small number in this committe also. The fewer the better. In fact i think if we coudl keep the number to three or 5 it would be best. And to keep the Jedi backers out would be aplus too. But they will push to be on here no matter what. What excatly are your palns for the Droids if i amy ask?
Aiken also wanted to hear the other senators views, cause he was a goodie goodie no dirt on the man. He was still waiting to hear from his sources about Fark though. But he imagined he was not as clean cut either.
[glow=Green,2,300]Senator, the Jedi-lovers will surely respond to our droid attack somehow. The Senate knowing or not. If, the Jedi are aided by someone, the droids will be destroyed. If we could maintain three people in this commitee, we could decide what is sone with our droids. Understand this. Attack the Jedi, it's fine, it's voted. Attack the Senators, is something else. And there is also the matter that, if the jedi are wiped out, some businesses will have profitable results.[/glow] He said with a smirk.
[glow=red,2,300]Many business' will be profitable indeed. All over the Galaxy without doubts. We must also consider getting those upgrades done as soon as possible. I will not attack the senators unless in the political arena. I meant they will try to take power from us. I know the chancelor intends to make it apoint to get the committee appointed this afternoon. He is smart enough not to take sides but he also gullibal enough to follow the Jedi backers in secret Where is the other senator, he should be here by now.[/glow]
Aiken had many plans on the table and needed to get them done before the afternoon session, not to mention he was hungary as well.
[glow=red,2,300]Shall we order food before he arrives?[/glow]
