I have noticed that in the past few days, we've been getting more members in a day then we ever had before. I would like ALL new members to read this thread carefully and thoroughly before they jump straight into action.
NOTE: All underlined words are links.
First and foremost, you have to read the rules before doing anything else. That is the most important thing of all. The Rules Board can be accessed by clicking here. Also be sure to look at The Rules Of The Board which is at the top of the list of the first link provided, as well as the Battle Rules since many of you are eager to fight other members.
NOTE: The moderators are currently experimenting with a new battle system, but please read the rules provided here until further notice. In other words, watch that space.
Next thing you need to do is create your character. Again, before doing so, read the rules regarding characters. Once that is done, go to the section you want to create your character in e.g. Jedi, Dark Jedi, Military HQ, Bounty Hunters, Civilians, etc (if I missed any), and read the sign up form threads, such as this one. They are stickied, so they should appear near the top of the first page. Copy and paste the form, create a new thread, and create your character.
After you have done this, you MUST make sure to read the current plot review. It is a long read, but you must read it to get a certain idea of what's going on. I notice many of you are simply creating your character and getting down to the RP as if no plot has ever been developped. I'm sorry, but it isn't that easy since we've been going for nearly 2 years now.
Last but not least, if you have any special plot or plan to do something, ANYTHING, I command you with the power bestowed on me as global moderator of the boards to post everything you plan on doing now and in the future at all time here. The reason is because people know what you're doing and if they want to RP with you, it will be easy for them to get into your storyline. If you don't, it puts many people off as they'll think "what is he doing?" and people won't RP with each other. It is absolutely important that you do this.
If any moderator has anything to add to this and new members have any questions, feel free to do so and ask here. I think I've covered the essentials.
