Ok, so this thread has only one meaning, to help those who are new to the board and are a bit stuck with getting into the plot, and simply to answer any questions you might have. So please feel free to ask me anything.

Is there a way to avoid those battle rules? I got two reasons for watning such 1. In a story battle, it will take more than 3 attacks, and a finisher, there could be large amounts of dialouge, and stuff like that, plus it could be a personal battle, and just go on about some thing or other 2. I tend to use multistage attacks, where it takes more than one attack to fully accomplish, and if i smudged it all into one turn, then it'd be a bit uuber powerful type thing. plus, half of my attacks rely on what my opponet does in those multistage attacks, so theres another reason why i can't smush them together..
sorry if i just missed a post where you can avoid this by any means. ^^;

One, if its a story battle, then I think it should be stated ahead of time, like the battle between Lorthias. However, I am trying to limit story battles as much as possible because as much as it may add to the plot, this is an RP site, not a fanfiction site, and anything can happen in an RP site. You may win or lose and depending on the outcome of the battle, the plot changes. Always in motion is the future, quoth Yoda.
Two, multistage attacks are, in a certain way, allowed. For example, say you attack your opponent by slashing your lightsaber with one hand and you keep the other back ready to use the Force in case the opponent blocks. That is allowed. If you do one attack and back-up to the actual attack, then yes, that is perfectly fine. If you have two single lightsabers, you can attack with both at the same time, one after the other, whichever way you wish. BUT, if you have one lightsaber and you do one slash for the chest and another stab for the head right after, you're implying you hit your opponent with the first slash. For one thing, if your opponent blocks, it completely cancels out your second attack because after he blocks, he has a chance to attack. Doing a follow-up attack in the same post becomes completely useless, if not redundant. Secondly, while this may be an RP site, if you get hit, you get hit. It's not like in a videogame where your character can take 70 saber strikes before he dies. One attack is usually critical. Also, it is unfair toward your opponent because you hit him without his permission, and that is not allowed to begin with.
You see, everyone relies on what the other does. It's natural. Don't think we don't do that. I hope this answers your questions.

This is a real lame question but, how long will Jedi trainging take? I really wanna get into the plot. I'm not poseing that question to anyone specific. Also, how do gain credits? I would understand if your caracter starts with some, but how much?

I'm sorry if I'm taking so long, but you made your last post EXTREMELY hard to read because its just one huge paragraph. I would appreciate it if you could do various paragraphs from now on. Thanks. Once again, my apologies.

Training depends on the person. If your the type of person who signs on once a week then your training is going to probably take several months to complete. Usually though it takes about a month or 2 real time to become a Knight. I know that it seems like a lot but it really flies by. And ignore credits we really don't use them.

Some general Questions about classes and specifics.
1.) If I start as a civilian can I move to a different class to reflect a change in the character? (Example: My character starts as a simple farmboy, but has a longing to see the world and thus enrolls in the Military.)
2.) How many military organizations exist? Do I always have to join the Republic? Can I join the Sith (if a Sith Military Exists) or perhaps join up with another fledgling group?
3.) How are Nobility handled here? Can I play a Noble character? If so, Will I still start with nearly nothing or have something (such as family wealth or influence) to help me during a mission?

1) Class changes occur quite a lot around here. If you're not gonna spend a long time as a farmer, though, I wouldn't even make a bio for him in the Civilian board. If you do, just tell me or one of the other mods to move your profile to the right military board (army, navy, whichever) and update it when its been moved.
2) There is no Sith Military as of yet, not like Sith Troopers or anything like that. There is an army of Sith Lords but that might not interest you. For now, I suggest you wait until we decide who the new Dark Lord will be. We are soon going to be holding a battle for the throne which will decide who will take leadership of the Sith.
3) This is a good question. I'll bring it up to the other mods.

Thank you for the Answers. Fill me in when you come to a conclusion on Nobility.

Um, yes, I have a really really long story. About 40 pages, that explains the entire story and history and whatnot of the characters I plan on introducing very soon. Where would be a good spot to post this so people could read it?

Sure. You don't all spring out of nowhere fully formed, do you? Or do you mean like a wife and 2.5 kids? That's cool too.
My character, A'den has a kid. Basically you treat these "subcharacters" the same way I treat the other members of Dix's squad - as NPCs you personally control.

Who's running the show around here? I'd like to get into one of the current plotlines. What Era of starwars do these take place in?

I'd like to get into a plotline as well.
That, and I'd like to ask why isn't there a section for Kuat.
