Dak looked at the women still oblivious to what was about to happen to him, a boy of 14 years. Still it was his instinct that drove him into this small confrontation, and he could tell that if he did go with them he wouldn't be the same person he was now or would grow up to be.
I can contact my Aunt and Uncle later, it's not about them though...for some reason I can't bring myself to do it. I mean look at you, both complete strangers that I have just met. But I can't say no...I just can't find it in myself to say no to you.
Rather than hang his head in shame of his lack of will Dak simply smirked. The smirk was one of genuine curiosity as he looked upon the Female Twi'lek.
I have decided to place my fate in your hands, and my name is Dak Yoley...if you need it for future refrence.
Dak dusted himself off as he said this. After finishing his statement he looked at the two with a pleasant smile unaware of what his future had just changed into. All he could think of was the way he could redeem himself in his mother and father's eyes. Finally Dak Yoley, son of Kaleb Yoley and Sera Yoley, would find his purpose in something.

Well...I get the bed, so you two can fight over the couch and floor.
Arili said, turning and walking back to the speeder. She had a feeling about this boy. She needed to take him back to Rillia, he was for sure force sensitive, and even if they weren't short on Jedi, he deserved better than the slums of Corellia. This kid had potential, that was certain, and she couldn't just simply let it slip away.

Holt watched this scene unfold with great interest. The boy was older, yes, but his mind was still very open. Holt could feel it. His loss had caused him to be detatched from the world he knew, to allow him the ability to accept new realities, to become a new person. This was good, for, if the Nelvaan's suspicions were correct, that was exactly what was going to happen, Holt would make very certain of that.
Once his Twi'lek partner left for the speeder, he faced the boy.
[glow=white,2,300]"How about we skip the fight and you take the couch. I've got something else I need to do tonight."[/glow]
He looked up and shouted ahead to Arili.
[glow=white,2,300]"I'll meet you tomorrow morning at the hangar, if all goes well. If I'm not there past noon, you know what needs to be done."[/glow]
And with that, the Nelvaan turned towards the setting sun and walked away from the Knight and the Potential.
(I feel like doing a bit of Soloing, won't take too long.)

Hrm...
Dak mused at the odd fact that they failed to introduce themselves to the young boy. Well they may not have necessarily "failed", but the fact that they didn't do so was bewildering. Dak watched the Nelvaan walk away and eventually turned to follow the obvious senior of the two.
I never in my wildest...maybe in my wildest dreams, but I had always thought that these Slums would be my upbringing and my grave.
In truth Dak always thought himself something greater than the every day slummie. Not to the point of arrogance, but it instilled a quite desperation and drive that developed him into the person who was today. The person he was today always tried to make his will face reality by telling himself he was going to be on Corellia his entire life. To see that his instinct, his will, what he desired was actually brought to fruition.
I'm glad that I was proven wrong.

Arili waved to Holt as he spoke, signaling that she understood, and got into the speeder. She listened to Dak as he spoke about what was going on, and realized that she had not bothered introducing herself. The speeder pulled out of the parking lot and Arili spoke as they drove.
I understand where you are coming from, I was once in a position similar to yours. The Jedi turned my life around, for the better...to an extent....
She said, trailing off, remembering the multiple times she had ended up either a bloody mess after a mission, or not everyone coming back from one.
Oh, and I apologize for my rudeness back there, I'm not used to dealing with new people, its been awhile. I'm Arili Annunaki, and my furry partner was Holt Syren. We are both Jedi Knights, and have gotten ourselves into a bit of a jam. Thats how we ended up on Corellia. I'm planning on leaving tomorrow, around noon, so if there is anything you need to do, be sure its done before then.
She told him. Arili had no intention of leaving without Holt. He had a penchant for finding trouble, and this foray of his was slightly worrying to her. He could most defiantly take care of himself, but this wasn't Kashyyyk.

(Aright, well, I don't really know what else you guys need to get done, but I hope not much, since I'm ready to show up with Holt. Along with that, refrain from accomplishing any storyline points, such as speaking with his aunt and uncle or teaching of some sort, unti morning, when Holt is present. Please and thank you,

A Jedi...
Dak attempted to recall any memory of these "Jedi" from his memory banks called a brain. Now in this cranium Dak held all sorts of knowledge such as past wars that involved Corellia, political parties within Corellia, militaristic campaigns his father had gone on, Dak could even remember a couple stories his uncle had told him about this and that. With all that he may have recalled the term Jedi used once or twice when it was story time when he still lived with his father. Unfortunately their definition or their location, rarity, or type was unknown. Only the fact that he had heard them once or twice.
I guess it will come to me with time, this Jedi thing.
He continued on this train of thought trying to discern exactly what a Jedi was from what he saw of the newly labeled Holt Syren and Ms. Arili Annunaki, Ms. of course because she looked far older than Dak was whereas the Nelvaan just looked perhaps a year or two older. While looks could be deceiving Dak didn't want to ask the Twi'lek her age and risk being flogged. Dak simply smiled as he reached the speeder at the Twi'lek's side.
For your predicament, I can only say that i do not want to dictate what we do. I will contact my aunt and uncle when we get out of your dilemma. I agreed to myself that I would follow you, not that we would travel together.
(until my next rp, which won't be long I am simply at Arili's side unless she specifically places me somewhere. This is simply to keep from trying to put in another rp about Dak getting into the speeder and whatnot)

(WHOAH, now! Holt isn't your age! He's thirty-five years old. He's a Jedi Knight, same as Arili, just a few months younger. And yeah, Conman, if you could just skip ahead to tomorrow morning, Holt can show up, we can grab Dak, bring him to Rilia, and finally get to pick our padawans nice and fresh once we get there.)

((OOC: KK, moving ahead. ))
*Morning*
Arili got out of the bed and got dressed, heading for the kitchen, noticing that Dak was still asleep. She thought about what had happened in the past two days. Wookies, Holt, Dak, stolen Fighters. The life of a jedi, pretty much summed up into two days worth of absolute balls to the walls insanity. She reached the kitchen and looked through the Fridge and the Cupboards. And it suddenly dawned on Arili... the last time she had cooked she had nearly set the temple on fire. She grabbed what looked to be some sort of a wrap from the firidge and decided that it looked harmless enough, and opened it and started to eat it.
((OOC: And que Dak, Holt, Kramer...etc))

The rain outside slowed to a slight drizzle. Inside, a click could be heard. Before Arili could look up to see what could have caused such a click, Holt appeared, almost as if out of nowhere, directly behind her.
[glow=white,2,300]"Morning, Sunshine!"[/glow] The Knight joked.

Arili just stared at him. Then laughed. She had instinctively pulled out her saber and spun around when he spoke. She put the saber back in its place on the belt.
So, tell me, what was sooo important last night that you had to run off?
She said sitting down in a chair backwards, munching on her wrap.

Holt grinned, not even blinking as a stray hiar was cut by Arili's saber. Once she asked her question, he motioned to the datapad which rested on the table.
[glow=white,2,300]"I thought maybe a way to hack into the Imperial Archives might come in handy, as long as we're regrouping..."[/glow]

Arili's eyebrows shot up.
Wait a sec, your saying that you can get into the archives? I thought that those were next to impossible to crack?! How'd you get them?
She said, having heard rumors on Rillia of people getting trace rooted and found whenever they tried to get the codes. However Holt did this, it was a huge asset and a larger problem for the Empire.

Holt hung his head slightly and looked at the datapad.
[glow=white,2,300]"That's not important right now. what is is getting the boy and the codes to Rilia. I assume you and I are aong the same lines concerning the boy?"[/glow]

(Sorry about that Cyber *looks around at the awkward moment*)
Ah the benefits of being a light sleeper. His senses becoming alert Dak had begun to tune in on the Jedi conversation as they brimmed the top of his dormant mind. Soon Dak found himself sitting upright in bed rubbing his eyes gently.
So does that mean Jedi are Imperial enemies?
Dak didn't really have a preference towards any military faction as he obviously just lived day by day in the slums. While he was well learned for his age, maybe the equivalent of a adult male (18-20) due to his reading, but most current events and covert events were beyond him.
Ms. Annunaki, can you tell me what a Jedi is exactly?
His face was filled with a curious look as he awaited patiently for his liberator's response.
(again, sorry about the age thing)

She looked at Holt. The Ms. Annunaki title wasn't something she liked.
If the same lines are that we should take him to Rillia and have Master Firians take a look, then yes.
She turned to look at Dak.
To put it quite simply, yes, we are. And I suppose I should tell you what exactly I am before you decide to commit your life to this path. Because, although we may need you, it is ultimately up to you weather or not you come with us.
A Jedi is the guardian of all the ideals of the Republic. You are probably to young to know what it was, but it wasn't this tyrannical empire. We keept peace and order in the Republic and her allies, and we draw our strength from the Force. The light side specifically. We are sworn for life to our duties to guard life and peace, and keep the Dark side from becoming powerful - something we have failed at. If you choose to become one of us, your duties will range from negotiator to warrior, and you will learn how to use the force as your ally. We are, or were, the keepers of the peace and unity of the Republic. Our current goal is to get the order back to a position of reasonable strength.
She said to the boy. Arili was never very good at explaining the Jedi order, she was more of a fighter than anything, and this boy seemed to be more like Holt. Always having to examine things, and find out more.
She wished Tal was there, she was much better at explaining how these things worked. Arili much preferred training a Padiwan how to fly or swordsmanship.
((OOC: Arili is more like a Jedi Guardian than Anything, I may even go as far as to say weapon master. So she is probably not the one to talk to about the inner workings of the force. ))

Dak thought about choice words such as "The Force" and "The Dark Side" words that Dak felt Ms. Annunaki had put emphasis on. Dak watched her as she spoke looking at the way she may have occasionally waved her hands in her explanation, or the way she stood. Slowly, but somehow he was getting a strange feeling from these two. It was almost as if crisp air flowed throughout them. They shined brilliantly compared to what Dak's eyes saw in everyday life. It wasn't necessarily a physical illumination, but it was something Dak couldn't explain. It comforted the boy as he looked at Ms. Annunaki finish her explanation.
So a Jedi is kind of like a police officer...only for the entire galaxy. I think a career like that would be fulfilling in itself.
Dak thought about the possibility laid before him and he did in fact want to jump at it and take the offer off Corellia so he could begin his own destiny. Although the young boy no doubt wanted that something made him go over in his mind one more time if this was the right choice. Dak's aunt and uncle would probably be better off without him being their forcing them to provide for another person when they can barely provide for themselves in this part of the city. Dak looked once more at Holt, then to Ms. Annunaki with his decision finally made.
You've explained your occupation well Ms. Annunaki. I want to be a Jedi, hopefully one as skilled in their work as you.
Dak looked at the small trinket on Ms. Annunaki's sash as he began to think of what a Jedi does in everyday life.

Holt looked down at Dak.
[glow=white,2,300]"It is decided, then. Arili, Dak, we must reach Rilia as soon as possible. Dak, if you are decided, you must be certain of it. This is not a decision you can go back on. If so, you must decide now to settle your affairs. We do not have the luxury of time in this situation."[/glow]

Arili looked at Dak. She felt that he was sure about his path, that he was determined. Which was more than what she felt when she first joined the Jedi all those years ago.
Allright, we have a ship, and its not a fighter so don't worry Holt. I learned from last time. When we get to Rilia I am going to get you some flight lessons. And Dak, Holt is right, We must move now. Whatever you have to do, do it quickly.
She said, walking over to the mirror and adjusting her headpiece.
I'm going to go and get the ship ready. I don't want to get caught with our pants down.
She said, heading for the door.
Oh, and one more thing. Dak, call me Arili.
She added with a smirk. Ms. Annunaki, she thought to herself. Kids were good for a laugh, that was for sure.
((OOC: Going to bed, so last post for Today))

Well if that is the case my time is only as long as yours is. From what you describe the Jedi to be I feel I can make a difference by putting all of my effort into it. And if I were to go and say my farewell it would only cause me to dwell on the thoughts of my uncle and aunt. They will understand, and if they don't it is a small price I have to pay. If I become a Jedi I feel I can actually do something with my life...
Dak stopped mid speech and looked at Ms. Annunaki and Holt with a serious look, but with a hint of sadness. It was almost as if Dak was saying his goodbye to them mentally or spiritually, and finishing that he knew they would have to leave his mind for a long time. It was something Dak was willing to put everything on the line for.
I don't want to see another kid grow up with the hardships I faced...sure they may have made me better for it, but I did not wish that kind of hardship on myself and I do not wish on others. The ability to prevent this and bring a general peace to the galaxy...if that is the Jedi's role in the galaxy then I will give my all to that cause.
Dak finished his mini-speech and smiled having inside the own speech allayed his own doubts and worries. Now with a steadfast heart he awaited Ms. Annunaki and her directions.
(Busted out the loyalty pledge/speech *thumbs up* also giving a little bit about what type of Jedi he wishes to become *hint hint*)
