Suggestions for new planets

Stef was telling me the other day that we need some new planets. I thought up a few as well recently. Tell me what you think.

Ord Mantell
Taspir III
Vjun

I deff agree with Mustafar and maybe Ord Mantell. The others... eh? Dosent matter.

I thought Ord Matell would make a good touch, and I do have something in mind for Mustafar and Vjun. The others are there just for the sake of it to see if anyone would like to see them.

OMG I hate these planet threads. Lets just blow up all the planets and RP on a place called "LAND". Then if you want a space battle you go to "SPACE. And if your battling in water you go to "SEA".

screw new planets, how about a floating salvage station, a huge floating warehouse filled with salvaged ship wwrecks and spare parts. Manned completely with ex-cons, fugitives and immigrants who want no-questions asked jobs. It can have loasa stuff in it, a dingy cantina, a black market, spice dealers, smuggling warehouses, filthy rich mobsters and of course a keg loada habs, appartments and pest control problems. I know my characters would go there.
Kinda like mexico, but in space.

That would be too much like the orbital abandoned republic station in KOTOR, except with a few added features. We need a planet that would be popular to the members here, how about the Rakatan planet? That would open up alot of stories for many characters here, though the Star Forge could be destroyed it could still be inhabited by the local Rakatan... I think that'd be a good idea, *shrugs* Just saying.

I think perhaps Vjun and Taspir III would be a good idea, to be honest Mustafar sounds a bit stereotipical to me seeing how Yasser has already fought someone there in a anakin vs Obi kinda way. Oh yeah and maybe Ord Mantell although maybe you should explain why you think they would be good choices cos I personally dont know much about Ord Mantell.

Here is what you need to know about Ord Mantell. To be honest, I don't know much about it either. Only what I saw from JKIII: Jedi Academy.

Rakata is a race from KOTOR (knights of the old republic) here is a link to the character bio page on Wikipidia.

It's basically a forgotten race in Kotor that built a huge machine able to make ships and droids, rightfully named the star forge, it fed upon the power of the dark side which allowed it to create the ships and droids. It's explained on the web page Copy and paste the link.

We already have Bespin. We could do with Utapau, but Dagobha isn't exactly needed is it. It's only a planet with a strong presence of the Dark Side due to the death of a Bpfasshi Dark Jedi there after Yoda beat him.

I read the info on Ord Mantell and I think in some ways it resembles Nar Shadda but if everyone else thinks it's good then let's go with it. I think Utapu could be a possibility but there isn't anything special about it which could make it important enough, good suggestion though.

Anyway ,Ord Mantell is a good idea in my opinion. We really shouldn't have Mustafar cuz it's really only good for a one shot rp deal, same with Dagobah and Vjun. Utapau, maybe. Anything we add though should at least have other intelligent inhabitants and not dead worlds with little to nothing on it. I'm not sure yet on Ratakat or whatever.

We could do with planets like Kessel, Mygeeto I don't know if we have muunilist but there's a good one, Myrkr, the Hapes Cluster. There are plenty of other planets we could have. Though at this point I'm really not sure we need anymore planets. I kind of like Silverback's idea personally.

Expanding planets is only natural, but too much expansion could disrupt play. Sometimes a new world is used less than was expected.

Some planets tend to hold alot of civilian weight. Muunilist is a good planet to add. Its Banking ties could open up new jobs for Civilian characters and the Banking clans could invest in military operations. Kessel is a good place to mine and can also serve as a prison to hold civilians who break laws or even Fringe characters that got caught or defeated.

I also like Silverback's station Idea. It'll make a good place for the Galactic Scum to come and operate.
